This code will be signed by all ECWPA members ages 12 and up.

Note that Woodshop has its own Code and Disciplinary Action in addition to this one.

Students are expected to:

  1. Speak respectfully to all adults and other students.

    1. This includes using appropriate language in topic and vocabulary.

  2. Cheerful, prompt obedience with a cooperative attitude to the instruction of the teacher

  3. Thoughtful behavior in class includes, but is not limited to, turning in homework on time, speaking only when called upon by the teacher, participating in class, and in general- doing your best.

  4. Activities in class are to be confined to class content.

  5. Treat building and property respectfully.

    1. Any adult from ECWPA or FUMC may tell you to stop doing something that may damage the property and you must stop immediately.  If you feel the adult in question is in error, please go directly to your parent/adult in charge or the Executive Director who will assist you.

    2. Clean up after yourself, especially outside and at lunch.

  6. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

  7. Walk when inside the building.

  8. No eating or drinking (except water) in the lounge.

  9. Electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, smart watches are not to be used during class time.  If there is a reason you need access, please have your parent communicate that to the Executive Director and teacher.

  10. Respect all the rules of the woodshop, even if you are not in woodshop class.

  11. Be modest in speech, dress, and conduct.

  12. Romantic relationships become more common as students get older, however ECWPA is not the time and place for public displays of affection.  We want to respect the varying opinions and beliefs surrounding relationships and encourage this to be handled at the family level, not at ECWPA.
